Each year around the world, people take action to eliminate gender-based violence during the 16 Days of Activism held from 25 November to 10 December.
Join others taking action to end violence against women by signing up for the 16 Days Activist Challenge.
What’s involved? It’s simple. As a 16 Days Activist, you pledge to undertake actions to promote gender equality and prevent violence against women during the 16 Days of Activism. You can pick from the list of suggested actions, or add one of your own. It’s up to you!
To take the challenge, please register here and select the actions that you pledge to undertake in order to promote gender equality and prevent violence against women.
Violence against women in Australia is something that’s now being talked about, and while conversation is important it can’t stop there. Now we need to take action to end it.
Activist meet-up event
We are very excited to kick start this year’s 16 Days Activist Challenge by inviting all participating Activists to a free screening of the film Justice League.
The screening will be an opportunity to meet other Activists, and undertake the fun and thought-provoking action ‘Look for gender bias in movies and TV‘ together.
Everyone who is registered for the 16 Days Activist Challenge is welcome to come along and to bring a friend. Be quick though – time and space is limited! To attend the film screening, simply register for the challenge, and RSVP here.
